Eucalyptus Goshuincho

A notebook inspired by Goshuincho, books used to collect shrine or temple seals in Japan.

Made from 3 sheets of stacked laser eucalyptus wood each slightly smaller than the last. The wood was glued together and the edges sanded to a straight edge at a 45 degree angle. A eucalyptus leaf design was laser etched onto one side of the cover, both covers were then stained with Scandinavian oil for a deeper colour and shine.

The pages were made from standard A3 printer paper doubled up and folded into in an accordion style. This allows for drawing on both sides of the paper without any bleeding.

Kylo Ren 3D Printed Lightsaber

Printed on an Up Mini 2, taking over 24 hours.

This lightsaber was primed with black spray paint, hand painted details and metallic weathering.

Fun Palace Community Art

Created for the 2019 Fun Palace community day at Ivanhoe Library. Participants drew designs on paper that were then scan and etched by the Emblaser 2 laser cutter.

It is now on display in Ivanhoe's Maker Space showcase cabinet.
